That’s the slogan of the berlin nu-metal band „Black Born Phoenix“ which was founded in 2008.

The new bassist Moppi (A Tribute To Pantera and former Harvest) who has joined the band in 2010 and completed the quartet with Reimer as the lead singer, Steini on the guitar and Mo on the drums.

Their first studio album "Exclamation" made in 2009 almost seemed progressive in comparison to their second studio album "Heavy Shit" from 2011, which led in a clearly defined direction, let flourish a bygone era, and again showed clearly, where their roots are.

Inspiration for a new generation, retrospective for old followers.

Even the radio station 87.9 Rock StarFM had the opinion that the sound of BBP clearly reminds on the late 90’s, in which metal was combined with rock, grunge, trash and hiphop to break all boundaries.

Therefore, the four band members answered on the TV-Show Yagaloo the question how they would characterizes their own music: “The only thing that matters is big sound and a bouncing beat.”

With their third studio album "Recall" (release date: 21/12/12) "Born Black Phoenix" go striding ahead and call another work in the program, which seems more multifaceted and more mature than the previous album. On "Recall" brute force and raw emotion are forming a compound that retains a distinctive groovy character. If you are looking for a slice of addiction, "Recall" is the right thing!

The Phoenix takes on track and proves that he is not a cheap imitation of the past, but manages to successfully put his stamp on the legacy.
